Benildean’s college life

Do you ever wonder…

Why we study at the first place?

The answer to this is very simple contrary to what we’re thinking. Yes, admit it. College life is not that easy. Doing assignments, unending projects and requirements just to pass the course. Not to mention the hard-core major exams. The truth is we need to exert extra effort to have good grades. We must put in our minds that our professors didn’t gave these difficult projects for their pleasure. All of these has a reason. Some students is just contented with 1.0 (lowest passing grade) but is that enough? As what my AGRECON and MANGECO professor, Dr. Evelyn Belleza always says, “If your only target grade is 1.o, better drop the course.” :)

We go to school, not just to be educated but also to be prepared, be trained and be guided for future career.Remember that school is our training groundand it’s up to us to appreciate it fully. Hope that WE, college students, Benildeans will not be frustrated nor get easily depressed with fast pace in our life. Rather be molded into someone fruitful, socially responsible, appreciative to individual’s worth, creative, professionally competent and has a sense of nationhood and faith. After which, we will soon turn out to be value-laden professionals and entrepreneurs in this industry and country as well.

God Bless to all of us Benildeans.

  1. hi camz!
1st time to comment in your blog and so far (after browsing through), i love it ;)

that’s why my mantra when going to school (& for me to inspire myself every single day) is that I’M HERE TO LEARN, NOT JUST TO STUDY! :D
i swear it works every time and it gets my hopes up if i’m too lazy to start those piles of school work :) )

besides, i never liked studying; i’m more into learning. there’s a difference, if you think about it..

God bless you, too! see you! ;)

    P.S.
i have a blog too (click my name) but it’s friends-locked but i’m thinking about making it public.. :D

  7. Yeah, it’s true we really need to exert extra effort in our study… as the terms pass by, our subjects became more harder and difficult ( well it sound the same) anyway, I guess we just need to have our own goal so that it will inspire us to continue our study despite all the hard times we get in school:) I love it, good luck camz:)

  8. very inspiring.
keep writing and inspire more people.
    clap2!! :D

seek knowledge and learn as long as we can because learning is never ending :) be prepared now NOT later or tomorrow for we don’t know what’s coming for us :) if there are any trials or hard quizzes or projects, take it as a challenge and never give up because it can totally help us be a great person in the future :)

  9. I think we should study not because for the grades. that’s the problem i see with us students nowadays. like you said, we study because we need to learn. grade is just a number. it doesn’t measure how intelligent you are. it’s so sad but also ridiculous to see some students are so grade conscious and i bet 95% of what they’ve learned are not applied in their real lives. they are just after the grades and that’s it… just more on academics and not in application.

  13. I can’t remember Ms Belleza quoting this to us. “If your only target grade is 1.o, better drop the course.” :P She was my ECO prof as well.

We go to school, not just to be educated but also to be prepared, be trained and be guided for our future career. Remember that school is our training ground and it’s up to us to appreciate it fully. — I totally agree with you girl! God Bless!!!

  16. Friend, I’m so prouuuuud of you! :) yerr so true :) because I see students now that are so competitive and their objectives is to get a 4.0 in every subject and they don’t pay too much attention what have they learned so far and we called them as “grade conscious or GC”. I admit that I was like that before until I realized that ok I’m getting a high grade but at the end of the term I didin’t learn anything. It’s soooo frustrating. I feel that I don’t deserve to have that grade and I’m missing something. And then this quote strikes me, “focus on learning and don’t get too concerned with grades”. It’s so funny that by focusing on our grades we lose the knowledge and learning that we acquire in school.
We have to enjoy the school and study well and be sure that at the end of the day we acquire knowledges. :)
I know life is somewhat unfair because there are times that we study really hard and then get a low grade and those who do not deserve to have high grades have received high but that’s not the point, right? We should study to gain knowledge and learnings to help us in life and be proud of ourselves that at least we are NEW after we graduate and God will surely be happy! :D ;)

It’s a very inspiring blog. I’m happy that you touched people’s heart :D
    Good job Friend! :D ♥♥♥
    May God bless you!ü
